Danfoss FCD 300 Decentral Drives
Danfoss new generation FCD 300 Decentral drives can be mounted directly onto the framework of the
driven machinery itself. The IP66 enclosure means the drive can be fitted in wet areas, outdoors and if
necessary hosed down, for instance on conveyor lines in food and beverage factories. The format is flexible and easy to apply when it comes to retrofit applications where the user wants to increase the performance of an existing machine by fitting variable speed control. The new FCD 300 drives make mounting easier and offer additional features for real plug-and-play simplicity. A side mounted isolator switch, which can be used to disconnect either input or output, is available, as is a display connector for interrogating or reprogramming the unit. A unique feature is the 6-way M12 connector plug wired for 4 digital inputs and 2
relay outputs. This enables the drive to function as a simple low-cost remote I/O via Profibus or DeviceNet to
read the status of, for example, proximity sensors.
