Power Company Scoops Business Award
Power4, a specialist provider of temporary and permanent power and lighting solutions, has been recognised as ‘a shining beacon of excellence’ in the 2008 Northern Lincolnshire Business Awards.
The company not only won the ABP Business Growth Award, but went on to be presented with the prestigious Forrester Boyd Award for Business Excellence. Both were presented at a Gala Dinner held at Grimsby Auditorium on Friday 20 June.
Paul Wilson, Managing Director of Power4, was present at the dinner to receive the accolades. “These awards are a wonderful tribute to our recent business successes, and recognise the tremendous efforts of everyone who has contributed to our growth over the last twelve months. To win the APB Business Growth Award was a great result for us, but to then be awarded the overall Forrester Boyd Award for Business Excellence is a tremendous achievement.
“Everyone within Power4 deserves praise for this, as without a strong sense of teamwork we wouldn’t be where we are today.”
Both awards demonstrate the contribution made by Power4 to the local economy and the impressive business growth the company has experienced in the last financial year. Turnover rose by 100% to reach £5.9million and the workforce expanded by 12%. In addition, annual investment in business infrastructure currently stands at £1 million.
The Forrester Boyd Award for Business Excellence cannot be applied for. It is chosen by the judges and given to the company considered to stand out amongst all the nominations for all categories. Richard Rowell of Forrester Boyd presented the coveted trophy to Paul Wilson. “I am delighted Power4 has won this ultimate sign of recognition for their achievements. The company is an excellent example to many other businesses in the area of creating a vision for the company, then pushing forward and succeeding with it. I congratulate the entire Power4 team on this thoroughly deserved achievement.”
