Marechal DECONTACTORS™ are an alternative plug and socket-outlet with an integral switching device that offers the user simplicity, safety and reliability when connecting and disconnecting electrical equipment. The silver-nickel butt contact technology employed is a major innovation in electrical connection and ensures superior electrical performance.
The integral push button isolating switch prevents plugs being pulled out on load - the operator simply has to press a button to remove the plug from its socket without effort - particularly useful in greasy environments - and it can be clearly seen that the equipment is disconnected; invaluable when isolating motors or moving machinery.
Designed to function in humid, corrosive and fatty environments, the DECONTACTORS™ offer excellent mechanical, UV and corrosion resistance thanks to their glass fibre reinforced plastic housings and they are automatically IP66/IP67 watertight when connected. An ATEX version is also available for use in explosive atmospheres where alcohol vapours or inflammable products are present.
