Scolmore Flameguard Downlighters
The installation of Flameguard low voltage downlighters from Scolmore International has been made easier, as they are now available as a complete pre-wired solution. The downlighter is pre-wired to the transformer and the transformer is connected to the mains by means of the CLICK flow connector. Scolmore’s versatile CLICK® flow push-in connectors for fixed wiring applications allow enormous reductions in installation time and costs, whilst retrofit can also be implemented quickly and easily. The flow connector also enables isolation of the transformer whilst conducting the ‘MEGA’ 1000V Insulation Resistance Test.
Scolmore’s Flameguard family of downlighters incorporates fire retardant seals and acoustic barriers, enabling the fire and acoustic rating of a ceiling to be maintained without the need for costly fire hoods and additional acoustic insulation. Flameguard luminaires incorporate integral fire retardant seals and acoustic barriers, providing full 90-minute fire rating without the need for additional components. The integral intumescent seals expand in the event of fire, thereby restricting the flow of oxygen through the cut-out void.
