ACCREDITED ENERGY SOFTWARE

The latest energy assessment software from energy rating accreditation and training company Elmhurst Energy has passed official BRE (Building Research Establishment) tests. The new webbased RDSAP 15.x software has been approved for use in Scotland to produce Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for existing buildings.

The software can be used by accredited Energy Assessors to:
• calculate the Energy Efficiency (SAP) rating of an existing dwelling
• calculate the Environmental Impact rating
• calculate energy use
• make recommendations for energy improvement measures and, vitally, to produce Energy Performance Certificates.

EPCs can only be produced using an approved software methodology. The popularity of Elmhurst Energy’s system results from the fact that it combines a government approved software with comprehensive, expert, UK-based, technical support and a full programme of customerfocused training plus an approved auditing and monitoring procedure.

In order to produce an EPC an individual must be a registered member of a Governmentapproved
Accreditation / Certification Scheme such as that operated by Elmhurst Energy.
