Moeller Compact Power Supplies
Designed specifically to be easy and convenient to use in automation applications, Moeller Electric’s new easy500-POW and easy600-POW switchmode power supplies combine wide voltage range inputs (85 V to 264 V AC) with comprehensive output protection, a Class B interference rating and compact construction.
The easy500-POW, which has an output of 24 V DC at 2.5 A, and the easy600-POW, with an output rating of 24 V DC at 4.2 A, are suitable for rail mounting in either vertical or horizontal orientations. Since they project only 45mm in front of the mounting rail, they are ideal for use in standard shallow enclosures alongside other rail-mounting products such as Moeller Electric’s easyControl and easyRelay controllers.
To ensure safe reliable operation under all conditions, easy500-POW and easy600-POW incorporate automatic overload, no-load and continuous short circuit protection. An LED indicator provides instant visual confirmation of the power supply status – normally it is steadily lit but, if any of the protection functions are actuated, it flashes.
The power supplies provide precision-regulated outputs that are only minimally affected by even large changes in load or supply voltage, and they have been designed to offer long reliable working lives, even in arduous operating conditions.
Like Moeller Electric’s existing easy200-POW and easy400-POW power supplies for applications with smaller power requirements, the new easy500-POW and easy600-POW comply fully with EN 55011, EN 55022, IEC 61000-4, IEC 60068-27 and SELV requirements to EN 60950 and EN 50178. The units are CE, UL and CSA certified, making them suitable for use in virtually all countries around the world.
