Abacus Switch Circuit Protectors

Abacus Switch has introduced a new range of Airpax circuit protectors from Sensata Technologies, offering highly compact resettable overload protection with a break capacity of up to 1000A. The products use an innovative design to minimise the risk of false trips due to high inrush currents and line transients.

The Sensata Technologies Airpax ATR20 supplementary circuit protector from Abacus Switch features a snap action, cantilevered, thermo-bimetal disk profile with silver alloy contacts, providing reliable ‘trip-free’ operation on short term overloads and short circuits up to the current rating specified. This mechanism is specifically designed to maintain a high contact force until the contacts break due to overload. The ATR20 is available in ratings from 0.5A to 20A at 240Vac / 50Vdc, with a breaking capacity of 1000A. It features UL, CSA, TUV and CE approvals.
