New Name for Electrical Firm

Scolmore International has chosen the opening of its new Visitor Centre to coincide with the launch of its new corporate identity. The company will now be known as CLICK Scolmore, in recognition of the success of its CLICK brand. The new Visitor Centre extension will double the size of CLICK Scolmore’s headquarters and enable the company to grow its ‘Click and Collect’ service, which is fast becoming popular with customers.

Designed to reflect a real solution for installers of lighting and electrical accessories, the 50,000 ft2 extension will also improve the infrastructure and service levels, whilst providing meeting areas surrounded by a showcase of CLICK Scolmore products.

Barrie Gilroy, sales director of CLICK Scolmore, commented “We wanted a space that inspires and provokes a sense of solution building, from simple switches and sockets to our latest Flameguard System. I believe the new centre will offer visitors the opportunity to make the most of our product families and see how they can be used to best effect. We are particularly pleased with the lighting showcase which endorses the use of energy efficient illumination”.

The new ‘Click and Collect’ service will streamline the way in which customers pick up their orders. Gone are the days when a customer would chase an order or turn up to find it wasn’t ready – in future a text message containing order details and a collection time will be sent from CLICK Scolmore. There are also plans to incorporate this facility into our online ordering system.

“The CLICK® trademark and associated product range has become so strong that it seemed a logical progression to incorporate it in the company name and, with these other improvements taking place, this seemed like an ideal time to the change”, added Barrie.
