MK Logic Plus Healthcare Range
MK Electric’s recently compiled collection of products dedicated to healthcare environments includes its market-leading Logic Plus wiring accessories range, which has now been demonstrated to possess significant anti-microbial properties. Anti-microbial hygiene in hospital, care home and other medical environments remains a considerable public and Governmental concern; and the Logic Plus range has been independently proven to contribute to any ‘deep clean’ regime seeking to rid such premises of killer ‘bugs’.
The Logic Plus range is 99.9% lethal to Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), compared to 86.4% for similar competitive products; 98.9% lethal to Klebsiella Pneumoniae – compared to 95.4% for other non-MK offerings – and is also 99.9% fatal to E-Coli and Salmonella.
The Logic Plus range is produced using Urea Formaldehyde, a high-grade thermoset material; which has similar inherent properties to anti-microbial additives which inhibit the growth of the four infectious diseases identified. In addition, Logic Plus products are also produced scratch-free – thanks to highly-engineered moulding tools – obviating the occurrence of dirt traps in which harmful bacteria may lodge.
From socket and switch socket outlets, plate and architrave switches and dimmer switch modules; through to TV/FM coaxial outlets, Euro, LJU6C and MK modular data frontplates and Grid Plus frontplates; the Logic Plus range is truly comprehensive and is easy to install too. Logic Plus has smoothly formed front plates and rounded rocker switches. The contoured shape blends into walls, while the range’s high gloss, high quality materials resist scratching and maintain its appearance over the longer term.
Total safety is a core feature of MK Electric products; and Logic Plus is no different. As with the majority of the company’s three-pin sockets, it has three pin-operated safety shutters shielding the apertures – a feature pioneered and originally patented by MK Electric – resulting in optimum safety.
This hugely safe operation is further enhanced by a positive switch action; and double pole switching that switches both live and neutral (neutral makes first, breaks last). For added convenience, selected products have integral neons seamlessly incorporated into their rocker switches. For confidence in the integrity of devices, and to prevent abuse of appliances, a choice of products with tamperproof screws – and connection units that can be padlocked off – are available for public or communal areas;
