Uni-Form® Pulse Start lamps from Venture Lighting have been used to significantly reduce energy consumption and maintenance costs in a number of Bowlplex bowling and leisure corporation sites throughout the UK.
Bowlplex plc is at the forefront of groundbreaking leisure facilities and has received a number of achievements within the leisure industry, having been awarded Best Family Entertainment Centre, and has been placed within the top 100 fastest growing companies in the UK.
With its strong environmental ethos, Bowlplex decided to review nominated sites throughout the UK looking for low energy lighting solutions and called upon the expertise of Hampshire based Southern Electrical Supplies (SES) Ltd. SES suggested replacing the original 400W MBFU lamps used mainly over the bowling lanes with Venture’s 200W Uni-Form® Pulse Start lamps, which provide an equivalent light output whilst offering significant energy savings. All Venture lamps used in this installation were sourced and supplied to SES through Manchester based Hilclare Ltd.
Venture’s Uni-Form® Pulse Start metal halide lighting systems are regarded as the most advanced on the market. They offer more light than conventional systems, excellent colour uniformity and a longer life. The lamps operate on a reactor/ignitor ballast system which has been specifically designed to achieve the best possible performance and lumen maintenance.
Following the change at Bowlplex, Trevor Dumbleton of SES commented “Having used Venture’s lamps on a number of projects I was confident that Venture’s Uni-Form® Pulse Start lamps were ideal for these applications. All the lighting at the sites is performing well with exactly the same light output as previously but now with a much greater reduction in energy consumption”.
Venture Lighting provides an unrivalled, one stop solution that encompasses metal halide lamps ranging from 35W to 2,000W. Lamps in the Uni-Form® energy saving range can be used to replace any standard 250 or 400Watt metal halide lamps.
