This month sees the 8th annual HazardEx conference and exhibition which will be held at the Majestic Hotel, Harrogate, North Yorkshire. Running on the 25th and 26th February 2009, the event will pull together all aspects of the hazardous area market, including much to interest people associated with the electrical industry.

Among those exhibiting will be industry leaders such as Siemens Automation & Drives, ABB Engineering Services, Cooper-Crouse Hinds and Werma, who will all be on hand to show you the latest innovations in hazardous area electrical equipment. Entrance to the exhibition only is FREE to visitors who register and includes entrance to the sponsor’s technical workshops.

Both days of the conference will also feature talks from some of the most respected and knowledgeable from the industry. However, it will concentrate on the concerns raised by the HSE during their specialist inspection of the system as part of the plant’s COMAH assessment and will point out possible pitfalls to avoid.

The comprehensive two day conference will give everyone involved in safety for engineering plant, insight and case study examples of how peers have executed safety programmes in their facilities. As always the programme will provide detailed standards/legislation updates directly from those involved in the process of creating them.

Conference speakers include experts from:
