MacDonald will present his address on the first day of the conference, which is being held at the Majestic Hotel, Harrogate, UK on February 25th and 26th.

Pam Davidson, technical director at GlaxoSmithKline will discuss powder containment and risk management in the Pharma industry. Pharmaceutical tablet processing is largely powder based. Engineers have to understand the potential consequences of airbourne powders. Davidson discusses these risks, and how some powder containment solutions perform.

This comprehensive two-day conference at this year’s show includes speakers from leading end-user companies such as GlaxoSmithKline, Ineous Chlor, Corus, Airbus and BAE Systems. The papers will give those involved in safety for manufacturing and process plant a clear insight -- using case study examples -- into how their peers in a variety of industry sectors have executed safety programmes in their facilities. As always the programme will provide detailed standards/legislation updates directly from those involved in the process of creating them.
