Aico Loftcap
Loftcap from Aico - designed to overcome thermal and vapour transmission to loft voids after the fitting of downlights into a ceiling - has been successfully pressure tested to the requirements of Building Regulations Approved Document C for internal air leakage in a building.
Apart from the benefits of helping with Building Regulations compliance, Loftcap can also make a contribution to reducing energy costs by helping to prevent heat loss and also to meet insurer's requirements by preventing damage to roof timbers.
Approved by the Lighting Association and NHBC, Loftcaps are quick and simple to install and entirely maintenance free. Because they are lightweight, they add no significant load on the ceiling but are rigid enough to allow loft insulation to be laid directly over them.
