Electrical safety gloves
Shutting down the electrical supply to buildings, plant and equipment while maintenance work is carried out is no longer a necessary inconvenience. Boddingtons Electrical have a range of Electrician’s gloves that provide wearers with protection against direct hand contact with electrical current from 500V up to 36,000V.
These gloves allow maintenance and installation of electrical equipment to take place without it being necessary to turn off the power source, saving time and money. They are manufactured from 100% natural latex and are available in a range of thicknesses, lengths and sizes to meet all requirements. Furthermore these gloves are fully compliant with EN60903 and IEC60903. These gloves can also be retested to the EN60903 by Boddingtons Electrical. In addition cotton under gloves are available for added comfort in warm and humid conditions. The leather glove is worn over the insulating glove to protect against mechanical hazards and electrical arcing. The EN60903 and IEC standards advise visual inspection by inflation of the glove in order to detect air leaks – this can be carried out by the Boddingtons pneumatic glove tester. A dielectric service for retesting is also available for all insulating gloves.
