Mayor re-opens RS Bow trade counter
EPA magazine was recently invited to watch the worshipful Mayor of Tower Hamlets officially re-open the Bow trade counter of RS Components with the company’s general manager, Paul Quested. This event follows a £35,000 refurbishment of the showroom, and investment in the ordering/collection facilities and external signage.

The refurbishment took 6 weeks to complete and paves the way for an enhanced same-day customer experience with many more products available for self-selection in a brighter, cleaner environment. A split counter - one for collections and one for ordering - will help to shorten customer waiting times, while additional Internet points and a 'Take 5' area will make it easier for customers to browse the RS website, rswww.com, for all the latest products and price information.
At the event EPA was told that there are now 34,000 products held in stock at that Bow trade counter for same day collection and 165,000 catalogue products available fro next day collection from the store.
The Trade Counter is in a prime location to serve contractors working on the nearby London 2012 project. It is also expected that the store will prove to be well positioned to take advantage of business for other major projects such as Crossrail and other Thames Gateway regeneration initiatives.
