Makita’s intelligent heat gun can weld plastic
The new Makita HG651CK is more than just a heat gun. It can generate a hot air flow with a temperature as high as 650ºC which enables the gun to be used for plastic welding, tarpaulin repairs, laminate repairs, or for soldering copper tubing in addition to the more usual tasks of stripping paint, shrinking packaging or forming composite materials.
The Makita HG651CK intelligent heat gun has 14 programmed modes which provide tested combinations of heat and airflow for a long list of recognised tasks detailed in the operators’ manual. The programme selector control is on the top of the machine body and the programme code is displayed on an LCD screen on the back of the machine. This new heat gun has three airflow rates: minimum, 250m³/minute and maximum, 550m³/m. The temperature range is from 80³C to 650³C.
This new Makita heat gun weighs just 0.78kg, is well balanced and has a rubberised hand grip. The HG651CK is available in 240v or 110v format and is supplied with four different nozzles and a pressure roller in a hard shell carry case.
