IP rated fans keep cool in damp environments

A range of IP-rated axial AC equipment fans from Aerco are said to be suited to use on cooling cabinets located outdoors, or where there is a danger of water ingress.
The range includes 80 x 80x 38mm, 120 x 120 x 38mm and 170 x 150 x 55mm frame sizes all protected to IP54. They are built in metal frames with die-cast aluminium housing and either a metal or plastic impeller. The Bi-Sonic IP range can achieve airflow rates of up to 66.4l /sec and the shaded pole motor operating from 115 or 230 VAC is impedance protected. Ball or sleeve bearings provide long life and operating temperature is up to 75ºC.
Typical applications for the fans could include process equipment that requires hosing down, in display advertising units to prevent moistening up of glass panels, in refrigeration equipment where damp conditions may be encountered and in test chambers where high humidity environments are experienced.
