Ventilation system promises continuous bacteria protection
EnviroVent has produced a range of ventilation solutions that feature silver ion technology, which is said to provide continuous protection against bacteria, mould and fungi for the life of the product.
The performance and efficiency of a ventilation system depends on the cleanliness of the appliance. Dirty, contaminated units and ductwork provide a breeding ground for bacteria and other microbes – a major source of indoor air pollution with dirty systems contributing to 50% of the cases of ‘Sick Building Syndrome’.
The BioVent range has been developed with BioCote, building the company silver ion technology into the products. Incorporating silver ion technology at the manufacturing stage can help reduce levels of bacteria, mould and fungi by up to 99%%.
The BioVent range includes BIOFAN, a development in extract fan technology that is said to achieve low maintenance and energy costs, along with low life cycle costs; BIOVENT is a heat recovery solution with a wide range of control options; the BIO-MEV is, a mechanical extract ventilation solution for hygiene conscious applications with a number of wet zones; and BIODUCTING, a range of ancillaries and ducting.
