HazardEx returns to Harrogate

HazardEx are pleased to announce that the hotel is being fully refurbished and the HazardEx Exhibition and Conference will once again be held at the hotel on the 23rd and 24th February 2011 to mark the 10th anniversary of the event.

The organising committee is now calling for papers for HazardEx 2011.  Please e-mail your synopsis.

Delegates to the conference are employed in senior engineering positions in the end user sector of the process industries. They are involved in the day-to-day running of process plant which is operating in the hazardous environments that exist in such industries as oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical, pharmaceuticals, mineral extraction and food and beverage.

Oral presentations at the conference last for approximately 30 minutes and are supported by slide presentations written in PowerPoint format. Subject matter can be broad but must relate to matters of operational safety in the hazardous area.

Topics will include:
Standards and legislation;
Changes to the European directives;
The impact of the new Machinery Directive;
New technologies, such as safety networking and wireless communications, which are having an impact on the hazardous area;
User experiences in achieving safe operation in the target industries;
Process safety considerations in developing industries such as nuclear generation and renewable energy.
