Enclosures take to the stage
Hammond Electronics’ 1590 STOMP die-cast aluminium enclosures are the housings of choice for stomp box manufacturers.
Stomp boxes, also known as guitar effect pedals, are foot-operated equipment used by electric guitarists to produce preset effects such as distortion, wah-wah, delay, chorus and phaser. Many players will have a bank of up to 20 stomp boxes, each providing a different effect.
The 1590 STOMP boxes are a rugged, easy to machine die-cast aluminium enclosure suited to use in demanding on-stage environments. Available in two sizes, 112 x 60 x 27mm and 119 x 94 x 34mm, they are finished in a gloss polyester powder paint, which does not chip after machining and is also said to provide a good surface for labels and silk screening.
Standard colours include Cobalt Blue, RAL 5013; Green, RAL 6024; Light Gray, RAL 7035; Orange, RAL 2009 and Red, RAL 3011 are available ex-stock. The units can be factory finished in other colours to suit corporate styles. A lap joint seals the units to IP54, protecting against the ingress of dust and water, and the painted finish is only applied to the external surfaces, maintaining RFI integrity.
