Protecting the power at university campus

A bespoke feeder pillar distribution cabinet was required for a project at the University of Hertfordshire as part of a project, carried out by electrical/mechanical facilities company Neocrest, to provide electrical power to student homes within the University Campus.

The original cast iron feeder pillars housing the cables had corroded severely, causing earth continuity problems within the original installation.Lewden Electrical Industries. Following a visit to site plans were provided by Lewden for four new heavy duty galvanised steel cabinets, which enabled the project to gain the necessary approval and proceed quickly with manufacture.
