An elegant, shadowless lighting solution
Purelight from Selux Lighting is an architectural lighting solution said to offer shadowless lighting and a highly uniform ambience.
Purelight incorporates a high-efficiency T5 fluorescent lamp encased within a 90mm diameter satin-finish diffuser tube. From this simple idea Selux created a series of minimalist objects designed to enhance most architectural interiors. These light fixtures - which appear to virtually hover in the air – promise an even, low-glare lighting effect and high luminous efficiency (around 90%).
Purelight is available in both pendant and surface-mounted versions. The pendant luminaires can be wire-suspended as single units or combined together to create continuous lines of light, marking corridors or internal walkways – or offering interior highlighting of walls and windows.
Pendant luminaires are available in various lengths - from 1100mm to 2970mm – with lamp combinations ranging from single 28/54W versions up to twin 35/49W models. All lamps are controlled via electronic multi-watt ballasts, with a wide range of dimming options.
The surface-mounted models come in lengths from 590mm (14/24W) to 1490mm (35/49W) – and can be mounted either horizontally or vertically, to create architectural features for ambient lighting in reception areas, stairs or other spaces. In both versions opal diffusers are available on request. Neither has Se’lux neglected the important practical issues with Purelight – maintenance is simple, as lamps can be quickly replaced, via the pressure die-cast aluminium end caps, without the use of tools.
