Lamp & Gear Set New Standards in LEDs
Lamp & Gear’s new 5W GU10 LED looks set to become the industry benchmark by offering a direct one-for-one replacement for a 50W Halogen lamp with no sacrifice in performance.
After many years of research the company, working alongside a leading manufacturer, has produce an LED that really can provide a direct replacement in terms of light output. In addition to providing a superior lumen performance, Lamp & Gear’s 5W GU10 LED will use just 10% of the energy needed to power a 50W halogen lamp.
“There has been a lot of justifiable doubt and scepticism surrounding LED output” stated Alex Hadley of Lamp & Gear, “LEDs that promise a direct replacement for Halogens have been woefully inadequate with regards to output and performance, however, we have developed a lamp that really can provide the same level of light output without the incredible cost of running a Halogen lamp and, with a life of 30,000 hours, there are also considerable savings in re lamping/maintenance costs” continued Hadley.
Part of the new LED range, Lamp & Gear also offer GU10 3W and 4W versions which can replace 20W and 35W GU10 Halogen lamps respectively.
