Cash management firm goes Mainline

The operational efficiency, flexibility, safety and aesthetics of Loomis’ Horsham branch were all improved when Mainline mains power distribution track was fitted in their depot equipment area and main office.

Cash management firm goes Mainline

Mainline is a track-based power distribution solution which provides quick, easy and extremely flexible access to mains power whenever and wherever it is needed. It comes in standard lengths of 2.2m and can be easily cut to suit on-site for shorter length requirements, or joined together for longer spans. Maximum current capability of Mainline is 32A and up to 16 adaptors can be fitted onto a single metre of Mainline track.

Electrical contractor Dave Elmer, from Spectrum Technology Solutions, recommended installing Mainline principally because of its ease of use and the operational flexibility it would provide.

Loomis Horsham Branch Manager Steven Woodhouse commented: "For me, the main advantage of Mainline is its flexibility and how simple it is to work with. It is so quick and easy to add a new power outlet or move an existing one whenever we need to. All we have to do to create a new power outlet is insert an outlet adaptor into a section of Mainline track, and then twist the adaptor clockwise to lock it into position - which also makes it live.
"Another valuable benefit Mainline has given us is that we have been able to get rid of numerous extension leads, which not only presented a tripping hazard but also looked untidy."
In addition to being fitted in the equipment area, where Loomis personnel charge up assorted items including hand-held terminals and mobile phones, Mainline track and outlet adaptors were also installed beneath the desks in the main office.

Steve continued: "We now have a much more flexible, safe and tidy office area, where staff can easily access mains power for their laptops, printers, mobile phones, etc."
