Heatstore launch hand-dryer ‘Go Green’ scrappage scheme

Heatstore will offer a £50 scrappage allowance, for trading in any old hand dryer, or paper towel dispenser, when customers purchase the Heatstore ‘Tornado’ high speed hand dryer, which offers up to 80% energy saving against traditional hand dryers.

Heatstore is introducing the ‘Go Green with the Heatstore Scrappage Scheme’ as part of their commitment to helping customers to improve their energy efficiency and upgrade their old hand dryers to the new Tornado high speed hand dryer.

The scheme applies to any model of hand dryer, or paper towel dispenser and offers a scrappage allowance of £50 on the cost of a new Tornado dryer which is the equivalent in electricity of 2 years free hand drying based on 100 dries per day, 5 days per week, 52 weeks of the year using the energy efficient Torando.

Old items do not have to be made by Heatstore. Hand dryers in a poor state of repair would be accepted – and consumers struggling to deliver old products to the outlets would be entitled to assistance.

Clive Bishop, Group Manager of Heatstore, said:”We hope the initiative will not only encourage the responsible disposal of old hand dryers, but also offer a good incentive for customers to upgrade to a more hygienic and easy to clean, low energy, high-speed hand dryer”.

The scheme runs from 1st November until 31st January 2011.
