The HazardEx Conference & Exhibition 2011 was another successful event staged once again in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, UK. The ever popular conference featured content on topics such as Buncefield - 5 years on; Ramifications of engineering failure at BP Macondo well, amongst a host of others! Ron Sinclair who was recently awarded an MBE collected a Lifetime Contribution Award at the event

HazardEx 2011 provided a superb networking opportunity for many specialist companies who supply products or services to the safety and hazardous area industries. World leading product suppliers, thought provoking conference papers & essential safety knowledge for hazardous areas across all industries were on offer. Attendance as an exhibition visitor was free and there were over 40 exhibitors, offering comprehensive & authoritative insight to products or services available to help and maintain plants safely & within the relevant laws.

1. Technical Innovation- An original new product being used within the hazardous area sponsored by BSI Group
