Pipe Center and Climate Center win national award

Pipe Center and Climate Center have won a major award for their services to the refrigeration, air conditioning and building services industry. They were presented with the Award for Wholesaler of the Year at the ACR News magazine awards held last month in London.

Receiving the award at the presentation lunch held at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea FC’s football ground, Robert Franklin, Climate Center’s national sales manager for refrigeration, said: “I am delighted to accept the award on behalf of the dedicated and enthusiastic team behind Pipe Center and Climate Center. “It is recognition of the outstanding service provided to our customers and the lengths we go to add value in all our activities, to help customers succeed in their own businesses.” The award entry highlighted six areas in which Pipe and Climate Center have worked to develop their business and the service offered to customers. These included the growth of added value services, such as modular engineering and custom built refrigeration products, and restructuring the business to reflect the convergence in the market between traditional trades to meet changing customer needs. It also highlighted the investments made in promoting renewable technology, as showcased in the company’s £3.2m Sustainable Building Center, and its commitment to delivering “best in class” service, supported by a company-wide monitoring and incentive scheme. Launched last year, Operation Service Excellence (OSE) is delivering concrete and measurable business benefits, reflected in increased customer loyalty and enhanced levels of repeat business.
