LA Laboratories CBTL status
The LA Laboratories have successfully completed the compulsory 3 year peer assessment audit for international CB Scheme approval and are once again confirmed with CBTL status.
During the assessment the opportunity was taken to confirm the scope of the Labs test capability to include:
LED control Gear
Latest edition IEC standards for luminaires.
The peer assessment took place over 2 days by Jose Cruz (ISQ Portugal), lead assessor and supported by Mr Jun Rae Cho (ITC South Korea) as technical Assessor. Steve Poole, LA Laboratories Manager said: “The continued recognition for the LA Laboratories with CBTL status is excellent news for both the Laboratory and LA members. I would particularly like to thank Neil Busby and Graham Richards for their extensive efforts in ensuring this successful assessment ran smoothly”.
The LA Laboratories works with TUV Rhienland who acts as their National Certification Body (NCB) for the purpose of international certification. CB Scheme work is still increasing, as companies seek new export markets and business opportunities.
