BPT nova monitors selected for MediaCityUK
BPT Security Systems (UK) Ltd. - a specialist in door entry, access control and gate automation - is pleased to announce it has received one of its largest single project orders for Nova video door entry monitors. The order is for the MediaCityUK development in Salford Quays, Manchester.
Already being referred to as the most significant media development in the UK,
MediaCityUK has been designed to provide a purpose-built home for creative and
digital businesses. The main waterfront building will be occupied by the BBC
whilst the remaining buildings will incorporate a mixture of office and retail
space, plus over 360 residential apartments across two towers.
Nova monitors in the apartments and video entry panels on the doors were
specified in the MediaCityUK tender and installed by Hirst & Danson Electrical
Contractors, who were responsible for all the electrical and mechanical
installation work on the residential blocks as part of a £6.5 million contract.
BPT Security equipment is the proffered choice of Hirst & Danson for its
reliability and ease of installation. Gary Jones, Security Estimator at the

An exceptionally small door entry system monitor, the Nova provides colour
images - unlike most video door entry systems - in a sleek, compact housing and
can be flush mounted into a wall, making it unobtrusive. What's more, its hands
free operation for communication and push buttons with symbols indicating usage
make the Nova monitor very easy to use.
As with all BPT door entry and access control systems, the Nova monitor is very
easy to install, with colour coded wires and terminal board to ensure quick and
accurate connection of the monitor to the power supply.
