Appointment lights the way
Manufacturer of lighting for hazardous areas and part of the Ashington-based A-Belco Group, Hadar Lighting, have appointed Andrew Varney as Business Development Consultant.
The Qualified Auditor brings two and half years of experience of Hadar products to the post having been promoted from his previous position as Production Planner with the company.
Varney commented: "The position of Business Development Consultant has arisen due to the increased demand for our products from overseas markets taking our existing sales engineers out of the country. My role is to maintain and extend our UK distributor network whilst also increasing sales of our products. I'm delighted to be given the opportunity at such an exciting time for the company when our LED products are world leaders and the offshore market particularly is currently booming. We are exhibiting at the prestigious Offshore Europe exhibition in September where we're launching new products, whilst our Ashington factory is in full production to meet global demand. In these times of ferocious foreign competition, it's great to be part of a local company which is leading the world in terms of product development and selling British products worldwide."
Hadar have recently been appointed exclusive supplier of LED floodlights to the Gorgon offshore gas project in Australia, the largest such development in the world.
