Plugs and sockets meet military requirements
CEE Norm has expanded its range of plugs and sockets with a suite of products designed for military applications.
The products are offered in military style ‘green’ (RAL 6031-FP), and cover currents from 16A to 125A in a variety of voltages. Standard earth pin positions prevent the possibility of connecting items of different voltages or frequencies by mistake.
The CEE Norm military range includes products that are compliant with VG 96919 and VG 96926, or are BWB approved to VG 95212-LZB and bear the VDE mark. CEE Norm also offers products that comply with the NATO defence specification.
CEE Norm military plugs and sockets feature IP67 construction for assured reliability, with a sealing cap to protect the electrical connections. Further aiding reliability, the contacts themselves are nickel plated, while the inserts are heat resistant.
The plugs and sockets feature CEE Norm’s next generation ‘quick connect’ screwless cage clamp terminals. The cage clamp terminals accept the same conductor size or type of cable as standard screw type terminals. The cable is pushed in, then the cage clamp is closed through a special contact slide, and can be opened easily by lifting the slide with the help of a screwdriver. These terminals have proved their reliability in millions of installations, and are maintenance-free.
