Practice management software

Energy efficiency specialist Anesco has opted for the full suite of Causeway's Vixen software solutions for M&E contractors.

The Reading-based company has also added Causeway's Document Management software to help control operations. Formed in November 2010, Anesco offers a full range of energy efficiency and microgeneration services to domestic and commercial customers, including solar power, renewable heating, insulation, and building energy management systems, as well as energy efficiency consultation.

Backed by a £6 million equity investment from clean technology investor, Zouk and SSE, the company is on track to reach a turnover of £26m in its first year.

Anesco has turned to the company's software to help drive the business forward.

“One of the first things we did when we set up the company was to bring the Vixen software in. We purchased the full Vixen suite and the company hosts it for us as well,” said Anesco CEO, Adrian Pike.

The software suite promises customised solutions for building services contractors, from cost planning and estimating, to project management, financial control and service and maintenance.

“Vixen's real-time job costing facility is pretty much unique in the construction field and it's what you need if you are running a business.

“I can hit a button and look at what we spent today, I can look at what is our profitability, what our margins are. It gives me total control in a really flexible way,” added Pike.

As well as the Vixen suite, Anesco is using Causeway's Document Management software, which provides a single repository for storing and organising electronic documents. It allows management and control of documents, including access control, audit trails, workflows for automating document change request, review and approval processes and indexing and search capabilities.

The company's software solutions can reportedly help customers achieve:
• Significant reductions in
paperwork.
• Faster job-to-invoice times.
• Improved client service and
transparency.
• Streamlined processes for
greater efficiency.
• Increased productivity of
field operatives.
• Better financial control and
KPI reporting.
