Dickies, the internationally renowned workwear brand, is giving away six navy pairs of the Tiber Super Safety Trainer to lucky EP readers.

Win these!

The Tiber Super Safety Trainer is a lightweight trainer with water resistant nylon mesh and suede leather upper on a cemented rubber and phylon outer sole unit with an antistatic sole.
The trainer has a composite protective toe-cap and composite material protective midsole to provide protection. This style has all the comforts provided with a padded collar and tongue along with a shock absorbent heel. The trainer itself is certified to EN20345:2004/A1 2007 S3 SRA. It is available in black and navy and from sizes 6 through to 12.

Dickies has also just recently added a new range of PPE products to offer maximum protection, whilst also maintaining comfort and range of vision at all times. The new range includes Showa gloves, gel knee pads, goggles, safety helmets, bump caps, a range of safety spectacles, ear defenders and ear plugs, safety helmet and visor kits, respirators, and disposable respirators, along with some fantastic additions to the Safety Footwear Range.

Dickies continues to research the market with a view to assessing what, if anything, is missing from the PPE range in order to develop it further.

Corporate Director, Judy Clay, oversees PPE development. She says: “I am dictated to by EU legislation. We make sure that all of our PPE products are compliant using notified bodies in the UK; compliance is taken very seriously throughout the business. We have re-certified all our FR [flame retardant] products under the new standards EN11612 and EN11611 and have also changed the previous WD product codes to ‘FR’ making it simpler for customers to recognise.”

The company’s extensive range caters for every possible trade and industry from steel toe capped, rugged boots for construction sites, and flame retardant ones for engineering workshops or wherever sparks are likely to fly, to lightweight yet tough, metal-free, non-slip trainers where flexibility is key.
