New 2012-2013 Socomec UPS critical power product catalogue now available

Socomec UPS releases the 2012-2013 Product Catalogue covering the very latest in future-proof, energy efficient critical power UPS solutions.

The new product catalogue provides information on the full range of uninterruptible power solutions from 550VA to 900kVA, static, electronic and automatic transfer systems from 16A to 4000A, rectifiers and harmonic equalizers, maintenance and service contracts and communication tools, all in a handy pocket sized glossy brochure for easy access for Electrical Design Engineers and contractors.

Reinforcing its position as technology leader in the critical power industry, Socomec UPS recently launched its new range of Green Power 2.0 UPS with unity output power factor (PF=1).

With units available from 10 kW to 400 kW, the Green Power (GP) 2.0 range of UPS provides users with full-rated power (kW = kVA) supporting full loads up to 35 °C in accordance with IEC 62040-3 - with 25% more power compared to UPS with PF = 0.8 and 11% more power compared to UPS with PF = 0.9.

As the volume of data traffic grows, driven by increased web usage and advances in cloud computing, organisations need to ensure that their UPS equipment is future-proof and fully compatible with the latest developments in server architecture. Socomec’s ultra efficient Green Power (GP) 2.0 UPS range has been developed to give a rapid return on investment, guaranteed 24/7 uptime and is supported - throughout its lifecycle - by Socomec’s own dedicated engineering team.

You’ll also find the recently developed, pre-engineered and factory-tested containerised critical power system – the Smart PowerPort. The containerised solution from Socomec allows organisations to rapidly respond to unforeseen or urgent requirements for additional critical power by ramping incremental power capacity – precisely when and where it is needed most.

The energy efficiency - verified by TÜV SÜD and Bureau Veritas - and scalability of the Socomec UPS systems within the Smart PowerPort help minimise Power Usage Efficiency (PuE) without high risk capital expenditure. Furthermore, the system is flexible in terms of both sizes and architecture. Supplying from 100 kW to 2.4 MW, the units are completely portable, enabling you to build a power support system that can evolve to meet a facility’s changing needs.
As a market-leading European manufacturer with significant R&D capability and a global network of specialist engineers, Socomec can provide a range of bespoke, turnkey solutions for the most demanding critical power applications.
Andrew Wilkinson, Managing Director Socomec UPS comments, “At Socomec, we invest in market focused innovation to ensure that our solutions evolve continuously in line with Data Centre needs.”
