£1m multi-utility contract secured
Midlands-based Energetics has won a £1 million contract to design, build and connect the electricity, gas and water utility mains and service connections for a landmark new residential development in the West Midlands, on behalf of Taylor Wimpey.
Energetics, the independent company which owns and operates more than 1,200 utility networks across the UK, has been appointed to provide the energy infrastructure and multi-utility connections to over 300 new homes. The company will also design and build one new substation and one gas governor in order to support the utility requirements of phase two of the development. The three-year project will be serviced from Energetics Midlands’ depot in Coleshill with work set to start this summer.
Ray Williams, Sales and Marketing Manager for Energetics (pictured), said: “Tansey Green forms part of a huge residential project set to get underway in the West Midlands and we are really excited to be involved. With work set to start on site soon, we have been working closely with Taylor Wimpey to meet the tight timescales involved. Project managers and engineers are going the extra mile to ensure critical dates and deadlines will be met, from completion of site remediation works to connection of the show home. This is one of the biggest contract wins to date for Energetics Midlands since we moved to our new, larger more centralised location in Coleshill. The motivation behind the move was to help serve our Midlands based customers’ utility connection needs better and this award win is proof that the correct decision was made.”
