The Renewables Event reports record visitor registrations

Latest visitor registration figures for The Renewables Event reveal that 10,000 professionals have registered to attend the free event that runs from 11-12 September at the NEC in Birmingham.

Jamie Cook, Director of The Renewables Event

This event, in its inaugural year, will provide an opportunity to meet more than 40 suppliers in the areas of solar PV, solar thermal, micro CHP, hydro, wind and biomass. Jamie Cook (pictured), Director of The Renewables Event said: “Energy costs for businesses have shown an upward trend for some years and with no sign that the trend is abating companies are looking at new methods to offset their energy expense. We’re told that an important part of this is the demystification of onsite renewables. We created this event in response to a survey that was conducted last year where 4,500 visitors to the RWM and The Energy Event showed an interest in a dedicated onsite renewable energy event.”

In this economic climate and in the face of global competition, energy is being viewed as a resource rather than a cost, and many companies are beginning to take up ‘green’ measures and look for entry points to renewable energy production for a positive impact on the bottom line, as well as the environmental advantages it provides. The Renewables Event has lined-up experts to equip visitors with current industry information and renewable energy companies will be showcasing the latest technology and solutions at the event.

The Renewables Event is co-located alongside The Energy Event and RWM in partnership with CIWM. The trio will play host to more than 20,000 professionals with an interest in energy, renewables and waste management. Visitors have free access to all three shows enabling them to get practical and policy advice and ensure that their organisation has access to the latest information and thinking across the energy sector.
