Emergency lighting version of LED sensor-light
Steinel UK is launching the RS PRO LED B1, an emergency lighting version of its stylish, sensor-controlled LED indoor light.
Steinel’s RS PRO LED range is well established as a way to reap maximum energy savings from lighting systems, through its combination of LED technology and high-frequency occupancy sensors. Now, with the launch of the RS PRO LED B1, it is possible to achieve the same impressive energy efficiency with an emergency-light version.
The RS PRO LED B1, which comes with a 5-year warranty, features a rechargeable back-up battery that automatically switches on the integrated emergency LED light in the event of a power failure. This means that it provides a convenient way of creating sensor-controlled, decentralised emergency lighting that is fully compliant with safety standards.
Ideal for office corridors, passageways, toilets and stairwells, the RS PRO LED B1 offers an extremely low maintenance option for lighting. In fact, the sensor-light’s 16W LED has a typical lifespan of 50,000 hours, essentially removing the need to replace dead bulbs.
The RS PRO LED B1 produces clean, comfortable light, with options for light colour in both cool-white (4000K) and warm-white (3000K). Achieving an efficiency of 49.6 lm/W, it boasts a brightness of 794 lm (with shade).
The RS PRO LED B1 also contains a sensitive, highly-intelligent sensor function with 360-degree coverage and a maximum reach of 8m. This reach even operates through glass, wood and stud walls. All of this means the light will automatically switch on when it is needed and switch off when the space is empty, with no start-up curve and no relay clicking sound.
Time delay off control is also possible. The sensor’s time threshold can be adjusted to any setting, from 5 seconds to 15 minutes, and the response light level can be adjusted from 2–2000 lx, making the RS PRO LED B1 truly flexible to any demands.
What’s more, function does not come at the expense of appearance. With a diameter of 300 mm and a depth of 67 mm, the RS PRO LED has a stylish circular shape and a slim-line design. The sensor is located behind the impact-resistant PMMA plastic shade, keeping it hidden from view and out of reach of tampering.
