Greenstock Aura HPS Lamp
Greenstock has launched a new long life high pressure sodium (HPS) lamp from lamp specialists, Aura.
With a 48,000 hour life, based on a 12 hour switching cycle, the Aura HPS lamp is one of the longest life HPS lamps available.
The lamp’s special construction results in not only long life but 22% higher lumen output than standard HPS lamps achieving 147 lumens per watt. Lumen depreciation over life is only 15 per cent.
Inside the Aura HPS lamps are two super burners which are responsible for significantly extending lamp life. Mounted close to the super burners is Aura’s specially developed Sodiguard, an additive ceramic tube designed to decelerate the process of sodium loss.
The new Aura HPS lamps with their long lives and high light output will be of great benefit in installations where there is difficult access or maintenance is expensive. Such applications will be in street and tunnel lighting, public lighting and car parks, as well as industrial lighting and in sports facilities.
The Aura HPS lamps are available in coated ellipsoidal and clear tubular types and in seven wattages from 50W to 600W. They have a colour temperature of 2100K and colour rendering index (CRI) of Ra25.
