Fireco System X Communication
The new System X from Fireco is a smart communication system that uses the very latest radio technology to automatically signal a fire alarm condition to all linked X products - Dorgard X and Deafgard X - within a 100m site specific range. System X is designed for all environments, in particular sleeping risk applications and assists compliance with elements of the DDA. It is easily fitted with a minimum disruption and features include fail to safe, night-time release and dual battery supply. System X complies with BS 7273-4 category B.
System X consists of a transmitter unit (TX) incorporating the very latest radio technology, which is positioned beside the fire alarm bell or sounder. On identifying an alarm condition the unit automatically
signals to all Dorgard X and Deafgard X units within range. As each Dorgard X unit receives a signal from the TX unit it releases the fire door it is holding open, allowing it to close and preventing the spread of fire and smoke. As each Deafgard X bedside unit receives a signal from the TX unit, the high intensity strobe LEDs and connected vibrating pad are activated. The flashing LEDs and LCD provide visual indication that the fire alarm is sounding, allowing the deaf or hard of hearing user to leave their room to a place of safety.
