New Lighting Design Factsheet

As part of the ongoing promotion of its registered electrical contractors, NICEIC has produced a new lighting design factsheet. It can be accessed by the public via the organisation’s consumer website www.findanelectrician.info or NICEIC contractors can print copies for their domestic customers.

“The factsheet offers simple, practical advice that will help the householder effectively plan their lighting and brighten up their homes,” says Alan Wells, Head of Electrotechnical at NICEIC. “It includes a plan of action, advice on light levels, how to work with an electrician and a room-by-room guide to light sources and effects.”

As an added bonus there are several useful tips by lighting designer Sally Storey from John Cullen Lighting.

NICEIC maintains a register of around 24,000 Approved Contractors and Domestic Installers throughout the UK and the factsheet encourages the householder to employ an NICEIC registered electrician.
