Bosch SDS-plus X5L Hammer Drill
Bosch has launched the new SDS-plus X5L hammer drill bit range, able to drill smoothly and accurately through concrete and rebar, ideal for electricians. The range comprises 30 drill bits with diameters from 5 to 12 millimeters, and is available nationwide from all power tool suppliers.
The X5L provides fast drilling through concrete with accurate holes, even through rebar. It is particularly durable, with a three-times longer life than other products. This is due to the solid tungsten carbide head and five design advantages – a centering tip and four cutting points.
The SDS-plus X5L hammer drill bit is extremely robust thanks to its solid tungsten carbide head with four-cutter geometry – even when used with the latest generation of 3-joule rotary hammers. The drilling head’s
main cutter is supported by the secondary cutters of the fourcutter geometry during drilling. This causes the concrete to be broken down into smaller particles and there is virtually no chance of the bit getting jammed; fast and smooth drilling is guaranteed.
