AEC UK OneU UPS System
AEC UK is launching the OneU, one of the smallest server-grade On-Line double conversion UPS systems
available today. The OneU, as the names suggests, is just 1U making it ideal for 19-inch network rack
environments where space is a premium. Despite having the smallest of footprints, being truly On-Line double conversion the OneU delivers the highest possible levels of network system protection for critical applications.
The OneU dramatically reduces the problems of main spikes and other mains borne interferences such as electrical noise, which can cause software difficulties such as screen locks, data corruption and even data loss. It is not vulnerable to sites were standby generators are used and does not have to revert to batteries should the mains dip for a short while.
In spite of its size, the OneU is packed with features including LCD screen, hot swap battery, SNMP slot,
manual by-pass setting, sine wave output, RS232 and USB option. The LCD display, mounted on the front of
the UPS, provides IT managers with critical information such as battery condition, battery time left on mains
fail, voltage, frequency and load. This data allows the manager to maximise the capabilities of the OneU without threatening the load.
