Long life incandescent lamps from Greenstock have seen a dramatic increase in demand after the Government scheme to replace conventional incandescent lamps with low energy fluorescent alternatives by 2010, provoked buyers to stockpile remaining supplies of traditional bulbs.
The Greenstock range of long life incandescent lamps are guaranteed to last up to 16 times longer than traditional bulbs, providing a more environmentally friendly and cost-effective alternative that will last for an extended time once traditional bulbs are removed from the shelves.
The long life range reduces manufacturing and waste disposal through fewer lamp replacements and the more efficient use of raw materials and energy during the manufacturing and recycling of the light sources. There is also reduction of packaging materials used.
The long life of the bulbs is achieved by using the highest grade non-sag tungsten with multiple supports for filament protection, and chemical compounds inside the bulb eliminate the impurities which cause filament failure. Brass caps are used to prevent sticking when the lamps are in light sockets for an extensive period of time.
All bulbs in the range have excellent colour rendering and high quality light output and can be used within dimming lighting systems.
