HellermannTyton HelaCon Lux Connectors
HellermannTyton has announced the arrival of the HelaCon Lux range of connectors for tool-free lighting installations. The new range follows the recent launch and success of the company’s push-in connectors, HelaCon Plus, for use in electrical housing applications and with OEMs.
Designed to connect solid and flexible wire HelaCon Lux, with its lock/unlock spring mechanism, offers the tried and tested ease of push-in connector technology, but for lighting installations. It can be used within a typical housing range of 450V/24A.
The range comprises two types which offer one or two inputs for solid conductor on the installation side enabling an easy, time saving and safe connection, especially when the electrician is carrying out overhead work or in areas where access is limited.
A typical application for HelaCon Lux is for lighting where the solid conduction from concealed cabling has to be connected to a flexible conductor. The 2/1 variant allows the looping through of the supply lines for any additional devices.
By pressing the locking mechanism, the conductor on the output/lighting side is inserted and can also be released in the same way at any time. The lighting side is able to carry any kind of conductor required to connect devices such as blinds, or fans.
