Pflitsch Gland Bodies and Sealing Inserts
Pflitsch has had the PA material for gland bodies and sealing inserts made of TPE and TPE-V plastic tested for fire protection safety at TUEV South Rail in Munich.
These components are used en route in under ground and commuter railway systems, special rail vehicles and long-distance trains in their thousands throughout the world. Likewise tested were plastics, which are used, for example, in edge-protection components. The technical fire protection assessments were based on the future standard CEN TS 45545-2 for the inside and outside of vehicles and engineering rooms. Here, the distances of combustible parts to each other are defined.
Due to the fact that Pflitsch cable glands as a rule lie well below the specified dimensions, these components are unreservedly suitable for application in the rail vehicle field in terms of fire protection.
