New signal connector range
Foremost Electronics has introduced the FCT Group range of mixed signal connectors for medical, laboratory and industrial control applications. Available as D-sub miniature, high density and mixed layout, FCT connectors are waterproof to IP67 and IP69K and are manufactured from carefully selected plastics and non-magnetic materials and alloys to minimise EMC effects on control signals carried by the connectors.
FCT connectors from Foremost may be specified with Shell /Hood sizes 1-5 or 9-50 way pin configurations in a variety of formats including high density and mixed (signal and power) versions. All gaskets at the cable outlets, the mating area and locking screws are completely pre-assembled and no special tools are required.
Hood shells may be selected from die-cast electroplated metal or plastic, (PC+ABS) which meets UL940V-0 specifications and are available with straight or right-angled access. Contacts are gold-plated brass with electroplated brass accessories. Operating temperature ranges available are -55 to +130°C with steam impact proof to 100 bar. Pre-assembled and inserted gaskets ensure EMC shielding and water resistance and secure cable strain relief is provided as standard. Reduction gaskets are available for large diameter cables up to 14mm and the connectors have front and rear mounting options.
