New specification software
Cablofil has launched Cablosoft , a bespoke piece of software designed to make job specification quicker, easier and more accurate. The announcement is a further indication of the company's aim of providing effective, efficient and innovative solutions to the cable management industry.
Cablosoft has been designed to enable electrical contractors and consultants to gain accurate specifications for the products, amounts and accessories they require for any application by simply imputing the details of the job into the new software. The software will provide them a full breakdown of the products and quantities they need to effectively and efficiently deliver the works.
In addition to detailing the products and quantities needed to undertake their work, users can choose whether to use the software's 'recommendation' tool which suggest products that best suit the application. If the customer opts to use the 'recommendation' tool they can then modify the estimate by using the 'basket' tool and selecting their preferred product choices.
Once the inputting is complete, users are able to print off or email the specification to get a quote from Cablofil or from their own distributor. The information can also be used as a supporting document to tender submissions.
Paul Courson, managing director of Cablofil, comments, "We have now successfully completed customer trials of Cablosoft and have been delighted with the findings. We believe we are the first steel wire containment supplier to offer this service to customers. Not only is the software proven to be easy to use, but it brings greater accuracy to estimates which in turn leads to better budgeting and ultimately cost savings."
The software will be available to download from Cablofil's website (www.cablofil.co.uk). As an additional service, Cablofil will be providing training in the use of the software as well as troubleshooting support as users familiarise themselves with the new software.
