Environmentally-friendly static UPS

AVK|SEG (UK) have added the Titan range, from 400-800kVA, to its existing range of static UPS modules. The Titan range offers total protection of loads at very high efficiency.

The company’s Natural Green Power programme, ensures that the Titan can guarantee high performance with low power consumption and low cooling requirements, low impact on the local electrical environment and reduced footprint. The cost of the management infrastructure is also less impacting.

Due to the high power involved the UPS system can give the customer savings on the operating costs and can also provide the benefit of lower CO₂ emissions of up to 30%. With IGBT front-end rectification, a power factor of 0.98 lagging, reduces the power consumption when operating from diesel generation. THD figures of less than 5% are achieved without the need for low efficiency harmonic filters but retaining the benefits of true online double conversion philosophy, says the company.
