Thermal imaging developments
The latest models in the FLIR range of thermal imaging systems is the B-Series range, which is designed to meet the needs building inspection and energy. This is complemented by the company’s Reporter Building software. This software is a result of four year’s development. Working as a plug-in to the existing FLIR Reporter software it is designed for advanced analysis of building applications.
In addition to extended energy audit/declaration analysis and analysis and reporting of air tightness and insulation, this new software also provides cost estimation of energy loss.
A small feature that can make a big difference to functionality is the new contrast optimiser. This algorithm allows details in contrast rich infrared images to be seen with greater distinction. It comes as standard on the B400 and B250 mid-range models are periodic save and IR video streaming. The latter enables the user, for example, to watch a process at start-up and acquire radiometric data at speed.
