NICEIC’s Tony Cable wins coveted industry award
NICEIC’s senior marketing and events engineer Tony Cable has been honoured with an award for his Outstanding Contribution to Electrical Excellence at the recent Electrical Industry Awards.
Over 50 years ago Tony learnt his trade as an apprentice and subsequently worked for many years as a contractor and college lecturer before taking up his position at NICEIC.
In this capacity he travels the country speaking at the organisation’s TechTalks and industry shows, such as Elex.
He regularly appears in the trade press, as well as on television and radio (most recently with Linda Barker and Sarah Beeny) and takes great interest in apprentices and the next generation of electrical contractors.
"It’s a great and thoroughly deserved honour for him and we’re delighted for Tony," says Emma McCarthy, Chief Operating Officer, NICEIC Group Limited. "He is a great asset to our organisation and we’re very proud to have him as a member of our team."
Tony’s name is always a talking point with electrical contractors and members of the press; his name really is Anthony Cable (AC), and his son’s initial are DC!
